A prominent Perth businessman collapsed and died in an office at Westralian Farmers Ltd. while on a business visit to the firm today. He was Eric Isaachsen (59) of Richardson Avenue, Claremont, manager of McGlew and Co., Howard Street, Perth. A former well known South Australian athlete, Mrs. Isaachsen represented that State at football, was later a prominent league umpire in Perth. He was an active member of the Nationalist Pary, once opposed Mr. J Curtin for the Fremantle seat, was narrowly defeated. A veteran of World War I Mr. Isaachsen served in World War II with the rank of major.
